Hi girls, hope you don't mind me joining- I've moved over from the august/September thread. We r doing ivf for genetic reasons and doing pgd/cgh. Tomorrow is day 5 for our embryos...I'm dying to hear from the nurses tomorrow!! Just a quick run down- it's our 1st cycle of ivf, 12 eggs retrieved, 10 fertilized- day 3 nurses called and said I have 1 compacted embryo (which she says means that it is 8 cells or above) 1 x 10 cell, 1x9 cell, 4x 8 cell embryos- the rest are 5,4 and 3 cells... It's so hard knowing what is a good result and what isn't when your not sure how the ivf process works... But positive and excited about the future! Sticky vibes to all u ladies and hugs to those starting your next cycle. I look forward to getting to know you all better

Morning all - Jeldiebug sorry to hear about ur cancellation hun - exact same thing happened to me too last mth so if u wanna talk about anything let me know. The thing to know is that it is a positive - in that you do respond to the drugs! So its just getting the mix right.

AFM i'm still in "limbo land" but hoping to move to jabbing come the end of the week!

Fingers crossed, i had a scan this morning and the cysts are almost all gone yay so just need a good blood test and we are jabbing on Thursday

now to work a bit harder on my diet!! Been eating far too much sweet stuff!

Funny how the simplest things "normal" women don't have to worry about, get ya excited.

Sahcb - congratulations on your day3 results - we had our transfer last week and what we found is that our embryos which were the best on day 3 were not the best on day 5. Our embryologist said you just can't tell what will happen. Our worst one in day 3 ended up a good frostie and the best one didn't make it any further. It's hard not to try and work out if it's good and bad at each stage though isn't it. I hope tomorrow's PGD goes well for you guys and you have fantastic news

Hello ladies can I join you please! I am pill popping til Saturday for my 3rd ICSI cycle. Cycle 1 resulted in my handsome DS but unfortunately ICSI #2 BFN and FET chemical preg. Quite nervous about this cycle after the last results but optimistic too.

I start Stimms on the 18th and EC estimated for 30th. I am giving acupuncture a go this time and I have managed to get DH to cut out alchol although it will only have been a month and they say it takes 3 but here's hoping! We have severe male factor and they are doing HA ICSI this time too.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and here's hoping for lots of BFP's.

    Jen

Hi jen80, we are severe MFI too and are doing our 3rd ICSI too.. no bubs for us yet though. We are doing TESA/PESA and having a donor back-up in case they find no sperm. Best of luck to you, hope you get a sibling for your DS this cycle.

    Hi guys,
This is all new to me but I love looking at your chats so thought I would share. I've started my first IVF ICSI cycle. It's a short cycle and I trigger tomorrow for ER on Friday. Then apparently ET on Sunday so my clinic must only do 3 day transfers. I forget to ask these questions! Scan yesterday showed about 10 follicles at 13mm and a bunch of little ones. Fingers crossed we get a goodie on Friday. I don't feel too worried about the amount, I just want quality.

Me 39 - age issues DH 31 - mobility, motility etc
