    Lol, love how a thread can change topics overnight.

    In regards to looking unfavourably at teens who hand in an application with their parent hanging around, I think that's really unfortunate. Teenagers will often rely on their parents as a means of transport, and so when they hand in an application/resume, this could very easily be the reason the parent is there. Seeking out your first-ever job might be a little daunting too, so maybe like their parent's support, but this doesn't mean they'll be horrible workers.

    Not to mention, when you commence work, you are entering into a legally binding agreement...as a minor. It seems only fair that a child would have someone advocate for them or at least be nearby should they have any concerns.
