    Default How much for your wedding cake?

    I'm looking at a cupcake tower with 80 cupcakes and have been quoted $750. Includes set up and all etc. Is this reasonable?

    I know I got a quote for a standard 3 tier cake for 80 people for $450-$500

    $385

    I had a 2 tier cake. Top layer was fruit, the bottom was red velvet.

    I had approx 80 cupcakes, with a small cutting cake on top that looked amazing! I think I paid $350 for the cakes.
    I brought the 3 tier cupcake stand of eBay for around$70, then sold it on eBay for the same price after the wedding. I'll c if I can find a pic

    Wow, seems a bit steep to me.
    Mine was home-made and decorated so about $50 all up for ingredients etc.

    I think that it ridiculously expensive, most cupcake makes would charge $2-$3 per cupcake if purchased bulk, and then a small set up fee. Have you tried getting a 'celebration' cupcake tower quote, take the word wedding out? My 2 tier wedding cake was amazing, cost $200 which included delivery to reception venue.
