Around 8 months she started to have longer sleeps. Sometimes I'd have to go in and resettle her. Before this, it used to be really hard to resettle her so she'd have a long nap.

At 10.5 months she has 2 naps a day, normally 1.5 each if we are at home, or if we are out 1x30 minute catnap and one 1.5-3 hour sleep in the afternoon. Now she's a lot better at resettling her self, but sometimes I have to go in and feed/pat her back to sleep.

She's normally fed or patted to sleep in a dark room on our bed.

Hope that makes sense and helps.

Around 6 months he started going for 2 hours. But it wasn't consistent...even now at 16 months he'll decide to cat nap now and then.

Default When did your LO stop catnapping?

Dd1 at 6mths when she went to 2 day sleeps.

Dd2 since birth has not catnapped. I found that because she always has day sleeps in the carrier/capsule/pram/bouncer it's easy to resettle her. In the beginning I would move/rock her thru the sleep cycle change and now at 12wks sleeps well.

At about 7/8 months when they went to two sleeps, I'd usually get one of those an hour+ (and the other 20-40 mins). When they went to one sleep at around 1yo, then it would normally be 1.5-2 hours

Default When did your LO stop catnapping?

DD has just stopped catnapping the last few days. She's 6 months and 1 week.

For me it's been the following things that have stopped the catnapping:

    - a consistent nap time routine
    - she self settles (due to doing the above for a week)
    - I put her down 2 hours after she woke up
    - I feed her before she goes down so I know she's full

Oh and also I think her age is a contributing factor too.
