Default Toy cull... Is it really possible?

Yep, we cull twice a year for each child. Before their birthdays and before Christmas. Anything they haven't played with for a while goes, as do 'double ups', noisy toys, cheap crappy toys and anything broken......

We donate it all to charity and I have the kids (well the eldest anyway) help me

I cull frequently. My child is always getting new toys from all his grandparents, aunts and uncles (7 siblings).

my friend at work tells her kids every year at christmas they have to cull 5 toys (at least) to donate to kids who don't have lots of toys, and so they can make room for the new ones they get at christmas. I reckon it's a great idea.

I'm brutal - Im the opposite of a hoarder!

My DH actually gets shirty as I throw stuff out he apparently needs (if you needed it so badly don't leave it lying around for days on end!)

I'm lucky my DSs are the eldest grandchildren on both sides of family so toys, old clothes etc get handed down to cousins!

This is the same as in my house! I try not to have too much as its just clutter and will never get played with.
