    How is everyone doing?

I saw a gynaecologist today and was prescribed metformin slow release, 1000 mg a day so will see how that goes. I was also given a script for clomid but don't think I will start taking that until after I have had the growth in my uterus removed, which will be the week after my next period ends, so no idea when that will actually be.

    Where am I at?

Stalled on weight loss with a total of 8.7kg lost. Back on Metformin myself to assist, spotting for the 10th day in a row but can't wait to get back to FS on 22nd August. This is doing my head in

Good luck with Metformin. Is this the 1st time for you? It's not the most pleasant experience I must say lol

Congrats on the weight loss, although sorry to hear the whole process is doing your head in.

It is my first time on metformin, and from what I've read I'm not expecting the best side effects haha. At what point did the side effects kick in for you? And did you find them as bad with the extended release?

Side effects were almost immediate for me, but they did ease over time.

I think the XR made it a little easier, but it wasn't much, it just made pill taking easy cause I'm totally hopeless and forget to take pills throughout the day

    Hi everyone
I'd love to join you lovely ladies I have PCOS and insulin resistance...
I am very anxious to be ttc again as my ex husband separated from me because of my fertility issues..
My new DP is amazing and is very supportive of my medical situation... I'm trying to relax and not stress because I know that's not good for our body....
I'm on metformin working my way up to 3 tabs per day and feeling the side effects mildly... I'd love to chat to you ladies and share this journey with people in similar situations....
Good luck to all and I hope you all get your little miracle very soon
    Xx

Hi Cuddlepop13 and welcome! Sorry to hear about your ex leaving you, although sounds like you are with someone a lot more supportive now. How long ago were you diagnosed?

I started metformin on Tuesday and am currently taking 1000mg. How are you finding the side effects? So far they haven't been too bad for me.

I'm also having a growth in my uterus removed on Friday and am getting dye studies and some other tests done at the same time so it will be good to see if anything else shows up.

Hope your stay here is a short one!

    Hi Everyone,
I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS, been ttc on and off for about 8 - 12 months. I've always had issues with my periods though since i was 13, so it didn't really surprise me when i got told i had it.
I have never had a cycle so its so hard for me to judge when i am due etc, my gyno has written up clomid for me to start taking on my 2nd day next cycle whenever that is, ultrasound on 8th day. I am really quite nervous about it all.
Hoping everyone has good news in the near future
