    Hi Ladies,

I got my results on Tuesday. My HCG went from 145 to 295 and my progesterone went from 31 to 19 in 48 hours.

I was a little worried about the prog levels especially because that happened last time and I miscarried.

I'm happy but I'm also so so scared. I'm feeling a little depressed and just wish I could have an easy run at something.

I have a scan with my FS tomorrow and I'm going to ask him about some progesterone support. Anything to help!

    Hope you are all well.

Still here... We're going to be TTC again after bub is born but not timing or anything. Just not preventing pregnancy. If nothing happens within a year then we're going to become dedicated TTCers again.

    Hi everyone,

I haven't been around for a LONG time as I needed a break from all things baby for awhile.

For anyone I'm not familiar to..
My name is Purple (Purpz) and my partner Kate & I are TTC #1.

I've recently had fasting glucose blood tests, I get my results Monday.
I'm REALLY hoping I'm a candidate for metformin.

I know my androgens and testosterone levels are well above normal, so am holding out hope that I am insulin resistant.... Is that how it usually works?

My cycles have come down from 12 months to 2 month cycles all on their own (so proud hehe)

I think I just need a little vent as I'm terrified they will say I can't use metformin...
Coz then I don't know what else to do...
IVF is way out of reach..

Welcome back Purpz. All the best for your results though not sure you really want to be insulin resistant? I wasn't and still got Metformin and lost about 8kg on it.

Are you seeing a FS? There are other options before IVF. Have you tried clomid or injections? Both are really affordable and by starting now at the beginning of the year you'll reach safety net in no time then get 80% of out of pocket costs back.

The meds are only about $35 per cycle it's just all the scans and appointments that add up but even then in a cycle you might only need 4 appointments. Obviously if you do artificial insemination (iui) with donor sperm you'll be up for more but still a lot less than IVF.
    Fingers crossed for you 😃
