I was really sad doing my Chrustmas shopping today. I thought I would be shopping for a baby of my own by this time when we started TTC in January

I am CD13, will get a scan this week and hopefully a trigger. This is my 5th month of clomid. Will start injectibles in January if no success. Anybody on them?

I feel the same way Ainsleyp - DH and I started TTC in January too and I really hoped I would at least be pregnant by Christmas.

I'm on my second round of clomid for the month - scan on CD10 showed one follicle at 8 and another at 6 so after another five days of 25 mg I'll be back to the FS on Thursday for another scan and hopefully a trigger. The same thing happened last cycle so I really want to push to go up to 50mg because 25mg seems to be a waste of time. I'm just worried about potentially missing a cycle because next time will be between Christmas and New Year and I don't know how the FS manages the break. Questions to ask I guess. I've bought a whole lot of OPKs just in case we have to go it alone, and hopefully it will be one of the months when I ovulate without clomid.

I broke down again after my last appointment on Friday morning - for some reason hearing the FS say my chances of falling pregnant with clomid are 10-20% just hit me hard even though I already knew the stats. I've been trying hard to maintain the balance between being optimistic and realistic but to be honest it just does my head in. DH and I started arguing because he hated me talking about what will happen "when we start IVF" because he thinks I've just given up, but it seemed less painful to think about it that way than to keep getting my hopes up. In the back of my mind though I still have the dream of being able to tell my parents on Christmas day that I'm pregnant... if not then I'll be drinking some lovely strong alcoholic punch!

Has anyone had any experiences with acupuncture or naturopathy? A few people have suggested it lately and DH is keen to try before potentially going down the IVF path so I'd be interested if anyone had any thoughts - positive or negative - about it.

I've heard of this, and have considered it. I'm going to wait and see what FS says in January after HiCoSy and bloods (and DH's goobies), and might look at this avenue.

First things first - ciggies and spare tyre have got to GO!!

Hi miss t. I had a course of accupuntcure recently. 6wks one treatment each wk. i certainly noticed that my AF came the day after my first treatment, I O'd only a day later than a 'perfect' cycle day 14 and am waiting to confirm BFP or AF this weekend.

I dont know yet if it will help us fall pregnant sooner. But i know it has helped smooth out my cycle. I am PCOS sufferer with really varied cycle length.. Some times months with no AF so to get an O on day 15 was pretty great improvement. She worked mostly on balancing hormones which are needles in ur ears and also supporting liver and kidneys and uterous being healthy which I think are the ones on my legs an feet

It was a pleasant experience. Cheap to at only $50/session. Hopefully it all works out for the best soon too.
