^^ this is what I'm doing. I also have another wedding early next year that's an evening formal wedding. For that I'll wear my navy Cue dress.
Thanks for your replies, I'm sure I'll look hot in this dress for my son's baptism!

I see you plan to wear a different colour dress, but I have to agree with the above. So what if it's white, it's looks nothing remotely like a wedding dress. I think some women get really ridiculous when it comes to their weddings.

Our best man and best woman's daughter wanted to wear her strapless, light beige ballgown with crystal encrusted bodice to my wedding. It cost $900 and she got it for her year 12 formal. I was majorly upset and it actually has ended up that her mother no longer talks to me (she is DH's aunty by marriage). I was very polite when she asked me if I had a problem with it, I said yes I am upset about it but what can I do. The girl ended up wearing a different dress but a year later this is where the family is at all because of this. Lol. It's so ridiculous but it makes me feel heaps better reading everyone's replies to the OP's question.

Also, back to topic, I can see you aren't going to wear the dress OP and I probably wouldn't either. It will look lovely for your DS's baptism though. IF I did choose to wear it to a wedding I might add a thick brightly colored belt though perhaps. Best of luck finding another dress

I wore a dress that colour to the wedding I recently went to. The "bridezilla" wedding I already went to and the bride loved it and complimented me. Haha... and yes she does say what she thinks! I would wear it - but I see you have resolved not to already, it will look great at the baptism!
