That's a beautiful dress op. I'd be checking with the bride first though. If it was my wedding I wouldn't care at all but I'm pretty laid back. My sister planed on wearing a high waisted black skirt with a cream singlet underneath so you'd only see the cream on her chest if you catch my drift to a friends wedding the bride was not impressed, my sister rushed out to the shops the day of the wedding and bought a maroon colored singlet, just to keep her happy. Personally I think it's just a colour who cares obviously the bride is the one in the massive dress at the alter, but it's her day so best to keep her happy!

I wouldn't do it. Is the bride honest? Or is she the type of person who can't say no to people? If you have to wear that dress I'd ask her, but only if you know she will give a honest answer.

A luncheon sounds informal I'd be very careful about wearing this dress unless you know what the bride is wearing. I don't think you need to wear something like this so I would def choose something else.

Really? It's a one off event that's very important to the bride. I think it's a bit mean to expect the bride to suck it up on her wedding day over something as simple as a guest having enough respect to find something non-white.

I think it's a pretty dress and don't see the issue with wearing it, especially if you are wearing black shoes, bag ect...

Do brides really give a toss about someone wearing white/cream/off white/beige/gold?? I mean, I'd understand if your wearing a cream floor length ball gown, but is it such a big issue for a party/cocktail style dress?

I wouldn't be able to wear it to a wedding personally, due to the colour, but i have seen plenty wear similar colour dresses at weddings and nobody seemed fussed so you'd probably be fine.
