    Sorry for your loss TF

I'm very pro choice all the way, even when it makes me queasy,
I believe I don't have to be happy with someone's decision, but they should have the right to decide what's best for them.
so I think it's great that there are more choices for women, I like that there are tight regulations to lower misuse.
But the deaths associated with it freak me out big time!

Sorry you went through that. But terminating a fetus that couldn't have survived/was risking the life of the mother is totally different than aborting a fetus for lifestyle reasons.

I agree with pp. There is inadequate counsellIng/support for women considering abortion now. The take a pill approach will just make it worse.

Is there? How do you know? I think unbiased counselling is extremely important, as are follow ups.

Totally different in your judgmental opinion or totally different because you've made the heartbreaking decision to terminate an unwanted, unviable or life threatening pregnancy? Or are you just making a wild guess as to what it's like to make a decision you 'would never make' and you know what its like?

I'd like to know this too Vic Park. For a woman who is pro life (and has never had a termination?) you seem to think you know a lot about the experience.

Ironically only a week before I found out I was pg I was thinking there couldn't be any possible reason i would abort. many in the ectopic circles refuse to call it that as it can be a life or death decision for the mother, but really, it is a termination. It is ending the life of the baby/cells/embryo thru an injection.

I like to hope I continue to learn and grow, and this experience has really opened my eyes that you never really know people's reasons, nor that you should judge them...

I never thought I would have one either hubby and I both agreed it was something we could never do (especially after we lost an early pregnancy).

I am one that had a termination for my own selfish reasons. I was 17, contraception didn't work, I had no family to lean on or talk to, I knew I couldn't give my baby the life I think it would deserve and I couldn't bare the thought of looking at every child for the rest of my life wondering if it was my baby, so I travelled hrs to a hospital to have my termination, sat in a room with heaps of women of all different ages. It was such an emotional time, and yes I wish I could have stayed in my home town and had the pill.
If anyone feels the need to tell me I'm a bad person or a murderer for what I did then go ahead, ive heard it all before.
I feel for anyone that had to make such a tough decision, and yes I'm glad there's another option out there now
