I probably wouldn't give Nestlé yoghurt to a baby. They're quite high in sugar.
Have you looked at Jalna? Or even natural yoghurt with some puréed fruit.
My kids didn't start solids till 6 months and I actually can't remember when I gave them yoghurt? Maybe 8/9 mths.

My DD is a yoghurt freak and I can't remember but my mum was giving it to her as soon as bub took it so could have been as soon as solids introduced.

Read the labels on any yogurt, especially anything with fruit in it as it will have added sugar , additives and preservatives , as pp said jalna or natural Greek yogurt is great and just add your own fruit, my DS started in plain goats yogurt at 6 months and I used to add blueberries or passionfruit

My DS has only had natural yoghurt. I'm scared to give him flavored yoghurt now cos I know it tastes better (from all the sugar) and it might turn him off the good stuff! :-) Anyway I started trying him with yoghurt around 8 months but it didn't agree with him (yoghurt spews). Tried again 10-11 months and he was fine.

We gave all our kids yoghurt from 6 months, any of the kids ones, and weren't too fussed about sugar or additives. We don't usually pay much attention to stuff like that.

They eat mostly homemade baked stuff and fruit for snacks so the amount in a small tub of yoghurt isn't going to make a big difference to their overall diet.

I think they recommend those after 12 months..... DS has loved the natural whole milk Jalna since about 7 months.
