    Default Cooling nursery

    Hi all

As the warmer weather is fast approaching, how will everyone be cooling their nurseries? Fans, air conditioning, evaporative cooler?

We have a ceiling fan at the moment but have been looking at either an evaporative cooler or possibly a portable air conditioner. Does anyone have any recommendations of products?

    Cheers,

    Diana

All the bedrooms in our house have ceiling fans and reverse cycle air con which are on individual zones for each room. Personally I don't like having the air con or heating on for longer than 30 mins when the children are in bed. I usually put it on to cool the rooms down first, and then put the fans on all night. We are in Perth so we can get some stinking hot days, but we rarely have the ac on all night. I made a point of installing all the ceiling fans when we built this house. I really think it depends a lot on how hot your house gets and where you live.

We had evaporative cooling put in for last summer and it works a treat! Love it! Ours is a brivis and it cost just under $4k for 5 rooms.

Just sucky now that we're moving to a house that doesn't have cooling!

We have ceiling fans in all our bedrooms and aircon in ours, we also have insulation in the roof which keeps the house cooler in summer and toasty warm in winter

We are putting a reverse cycle air con into our kitchen on the wall that faces bubs door so that the cool air will go in without being too direct. Also have a ceiling fan.
