I really like the show but parts of it are really hard to watch! It's eye opening!

Yeah. That girl lying in the back of the panel van while the next bloke took his turn made my stomach churn.

I'm watching with DH who never saw the movie , I really like the tv show, my 17 year old niece is texting me while watching with her mum saying she can't believe girls were treated like that ( and I'm sure still are)

It's on Chanel 10 and is a really good remake of the movie made from a Cathy Lette book in 1981 ( I was 10!) it's about high school kids/surfers in Cronulla in Sydney in the late 70,s - focuses on 2 young girls, losing virginity, drugs, smoking etc it's sad watching how the boys treat the girls and that most put up with it, the tv show is cool - its fun watching all the 70,s stuff! I grew up near Cronulla in the 70/80,s so pretty nostalgic for me!

I watched it for the first time tonight. That girl in the panel van was unsettling for sure. I haven't seen the film.
