    Default Emerald Qld Mining

Hey I have just moved to Emerald to FINALLY live with my fiancé who has been mining for years. Just cannot seem for the life of me to find anyone in the same situation as me! Kids and nothing to do, or nobody to visit. 😔 I have a three year old and an 18 month old, yet to find a job, and am going crazy sitting at home with no one to talk too! Anybody live in the area??? Brie

Hahah you poor thing. Emerald isn't that bad but it is small. I'm a 4 hr drive from emerald but do go to Clermont which is an hour from you a bit to see family.

I am used to small towns, I think the non working thing is getting to me. I'm used to working four days a week since the babies were both 3 months old...not used to this stay at home mum business!

I've enrolled them in swimming next month, so we will see! Every park I go to there's only dads there with their kids (obviously on their swing off). So annoying!

Yeah I know. I haven't tried mothers groups as I wouldn't know where to start. Hopefully I will be working soon; so I don't want to commit to anything with the kids too soon.

Yeah I thought there was a shortage of kindy space. Have you been to Capella? They have a good pool set up with a little waterslide and mini golf. Something you don't see everyday in a small town.
