Default Student midwife seeking Brisbane women.

    Good Morning Everyone!

My name is Nadia, I am about to embark on my 3rd year as a Student Nurse/Midwife with the University of Queensland, practicing at the RBWH.
In an effort to improve the quality and continuity of care I provide in my future practice, I am looking to follow and support a number of women in the Brisbane area, who are due in 2013, through their pregnancy and birth.
Participation is easy, totally voluntary and you will benefit from the support of a friendly, familiar face throughout this amazing journey.

Interested women can contact me at nadia.ahearn@uqconnect.edu.au or feel free to call or text on 0406338931.
    Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

Nadia, do you have to be planning on birthing at the RBWH?

Hi There, thanks for your reply.
I am based at the RBWH, however, if you are birthing at another location, I will just have to notify my program coordinator. It shouldnt be a problem

    Hi there,
Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately, Im not sure I'll be able to make it to Logan on a regular basis. However, a friend of mine is doing the exact same program and lives in the Logan/Gold Coast area. Her name is Savannah. Her email is: savannah.fry@uqconnect.edu.au. I know she is still seeking pregnant women to support and would be more than happy to help you.

    Kind Regards,
    Nadia

    Default Hi

Hi Nadia, I'm currently 24 weeks with #2 and due 26 jan 13, booked in at Mater public. my first was 7 years ago and I was young and very unprepared. I had pre eclampsia, was terrified, had an epidural, and ended up with forceps being used after 20+ hours at hospital labouring flat on my back in stirrups. I now have moderate PGP which started at 16 weeks.. First wasn't a nice labour or pregnancy at all and would love support during this one to make it a relaxed, calm birthing experience and remaining pregnancy! Please PM me for details etc (as I've just joined and only on my phone, I don't actually know how to private message yet) :P

Hi Nadia, I'm 8 weeks pregnant, and due to birth at the Redlands Public Hospital in May 2013. I'm guessing that's too far away for you?
