Default 5 and a half month old not rolling

I only have my son to judge from and he started rolling at 5 months. DD is 5 and a half month and not even trying to roll

Probably a silly question when do bubs usually roll ??

Within my Playgroup it has ranged from 4 months to 8 months

From talking to other mums I know, this range is fairly standard.

I know it's hard if those around you are rolling earlier to not worry but I think your DD is just fine

My DS didn't roll till 7.5 months and even then never used it as a way to get around.

He quickly moved on to commander crawl and now crawl though by 9.5 months. I don't know if the concerted effort I made to increase his tummy time made the difference or if he would have reached these milestones at these ages regardless.

My DD rolled at 7 months, then used it as her main method of getting round.. She skipped the commando crawl phase, went to proper crawling but didn't do that for long as she moved on to cruising really quickly! Then she cruised for AGES before taking her first step.

Kids reach milestones at different ages, and they sometimes skip steps so I wouldn't worry My DD was the last in her group to cruise, but she mastered walking quicker than the rest.

My DS is 5 months, he has rolled a few times but loves staying on his side. He even commando crawls 2cm in about 15minutes... With loads of effort! Lol
