Yes I did. I took sertraline as it is thought to be one of the safer ones and plan to be on mirtazapine with my next pregnancy (if I have one). This med is not as well researched during pregnancy but it works really well for me and sertraline just didn't work well enough for me last pregnancy.

Different antidepressants have different risks in pregnancy. The older drugs tend to cause the highest chance of birth defects. My gp showed me studies to say Zoloft (a SSRI) is one of the safest choices in pregnancy. I was taking it last year while trying to get pregnant.

If you want to take anything stronger (ie antipsychotics or mood stabilizers) there can be risks like cleft pallets and heart defects, but it is still manageable. You being depressed during pregnancy has its own risks like low birth weight.

You can have ur GP refer you to the maternal psychiatric department at the hospital you would give birth at. I did this and found out how I would be treated when I'm pregnant and how my medications would affect a potential pregnancy.

I am on cymbalta and axit at the moment, and 20 Weeks pregnant. I will be weaning off them in the third trimester though because they can be passed through breast milk.

I switched from lexapro just before getting pregnant on advice from my gp....apparently it's the safest during pregnancy.

I'm on cymbalta and almost 13 weeks with my third. I have been very slowly weaning off but I am so scared of not being on it at all because it has made a huge difference. Atm I am taking 1 tablet every 5 days.

Yes, I was on Seroquel & Avanza from 17wks with DD. She came out with all sorts of allergies & ENT problems etc. I weaned off both 6 wks pre birth & my depression went out of control.

This time I am 5+2, and on Pristiq. I asked my GP whilst TTC & she said it is as safe as Zoloft for use during pregnancy. I'm staying on it & haven't yet decided if I will wean off pre birth, am scared to due to last experience.

    Me 27 - with DS, 7, DD, 2, and beanie due 1/5/13!
