True, there is only so many episode of gold rush a woman can take

It is so sad knowing there are lots of young girls out there dealing with that even today.

I soooooo wanted to watch it but maybe 2 mins in I started bawling, just tears and tears. Not like me at all. Strange and very frustrated.

    I know, too sad.

I felt so pleased for the new Middy Chum when that doctor recognised her abilities and gave her enough space and time to prove herself.

I say congratulations to the ABC on bringing this excellent series and making Sunday nights the highlight of the week for me! This excellent series is well-made, with fantastic attention to detail and so true to life. This series has it all: drama, humour, historical accuracy and such great acting that makes it such a pleasure to watch!

Ooohh it sounds good. I'll have to try to catch up on it If anyone else is interested in things like that in that era- there's a book called 'the light in the window' about a nurse in the 50's in an 'unwed Irish mothers home' it's a true story. Very sad. It's crazy that life was like that, and saddens me to know it could still be happening today
