Default What's your bedtime routine with your 7 week old?

Just wondering what everyone else is up to with their baby?

Any attempts to settle my dd to bed before 10pm fails miserably.

We have a bath then a quiet bf then burp then cry then catnap and this continues for a few hours. She is still feeding 3 hourly overnight.

DD is 6 weeks old and we too are feeding every 3-4hrs...we try to bath her around 7 (whenever she wakes after 6 really), then feed, then cuddle her to sleep. Once shes asleep we try to transfer her to the bassinet. Sometimes were successful and shes asleep in her bassinet by 8pm, sometimes were - We often end up cuddling on the couch until after the next feed then try again, in which case its usually around midnight before were all in bed.

We have to cuddle her to sleep, though the time between cuddles and transferring into the bassinet is getting shorter and she self-soothes at night if she wakes up before her next feed so hopefully she wont need this forever. But its ok...i love our cuddles

DD is now 13 weeks, and last week she finally started settling for the night before midnight. We didn't do anything different, she just sorted herself out! We try to get her to bed at 7pm which meant a long time of screaming before we all got to sleep. She started being unsettled at around 5 weeks.

At 7wks old DD2 was asleep between 7-8pm. It's bath at 6.30, then boobed to sleep. I give her a really big feed before bath so if she passes out after it's no biggie.

But we have done bath/boob at 6.30 since the day she got home from hospy.

Dd1 on the other hand went to sleep at 9/9.30pm no matter what time you did what. She only moved to a 7/7.30bedtime at 6mths old.

Bath at 6, boob and bed. Cuddle to sleep or feed to sleep.

Bath at 7.30, boob at 8 or 9 or whenever he wants it, bed anywhere from 9-11pm. We have no set routine. It's a bit of a pain but I'm confident he'll sort himself out when he's ready.
