I used to love scary movies but having kids turned me off them.

I also got turned off by torture porn movies like Hostel (I think that's what it was called) and the ones like that that seemed to linger lovingly over images of women being hacked to pieces and being tortured. Not my idea of entertainment.

I still think Psycho was a truly great scary movie. I prefer the ones where the violence is more inferred than explicit. My imagination is way more vivid than what they show anyway.

Default Do you like scary movies?

I love a good horror movie, but when it's just pure gore it kind of grosses me out.

No. I have my eyes half closed and cover my ears most of the time.

I love horror movies but haven't seen a good one that actually scared me since the first paranormal activity. I always watch them with my mum as she's the only other person I know who loves them!

Lol very interesting!!!! I get freaked out about weird stupid things lol like things that are in the movie that aren't referred to and you see it in the corner of your eye *shudder* Japanese horror movies are filled with these lol I watched this one called a tale of two sisters and there is a scene where lady is doing her dishes and this Japanese spirit is lurking under the bench all rigged and hair hanging and it's barely noticeable and the woman doing her dishes never sees it....ehhhh that could be me!!!! Lol. Also a really good movie is lake mungo and it's an Aussie mockumentry about a young girl who drowns in a lake and it is crazy freak you out!!!! Just really eery and how things lead up to the truth. Very paranormal.
I love strange movies and movies that intrigue and make me wonder. I find the horror movies today are just so typical and boring.

Despise them and I will only watch tame thrillers if hubby forces me to! They disturb me where it makes me feel grossed out thinking about them for a week after I've watched it..lol I'm a sook, I like to keep my head in the sand and believe the world is happy and cheerful and nothing bad ever happens!
