Same as most people in here. I used to LOVE them, but now I never watch them at all. For some reason they bother me now, whereas I never used to mind.

I wonder why we get sookier as we get older? If anything I would have thought it would be the other way around...

Love scary movies. I find the ones based on a true story, effect me more. To think something so horrifying could happen to people, leave me awake.

My first scary movie was the Poltergeist, saw that when I was 9. Still remains one of my favourites.
The exorcist I saw when I was 12. My Dad thought I was old enough since I could sit and laugh through horror movies. Well I was fine, until the scene where the play the tape backwards, to hear the devil screaming Merin over and over again. As my nickname is Merin. Didn't sleep easily for a week.

My youngest sister and I used to go to the movies to see new 'big scary thing' and just liked laughing at them, make fun and pull them apart.
Used to be so much fun, hearing a gaggle of girls scream, just to hear us laugh afterwards.

After having my boys, sometimes I get more scared, as I fear something outrageous happen to them.
However scary movies progress to get scarier as time goes on.

DH and I started watching a scary movie tonight and I have had to get up and distract myself on here because I was getting waaay too scared

It must be my old age or something
Oh me too!! When I was younger I seemed to like the scare but now I cant watch as it freaks me out too much. I have always been afraid of the dark and things under the bed but now if I watch a scary movie I just cant sleep as I am sure 'things' are out there. Blood and gore doesnt bother me...its the suspensful stuff that totally creeps me out!

I don't like scary movies. I hate feeling scared. I can tolerate them more now as I'm getting older, but if we watch one I like to watch a comedy after it's finished to get my mind off it.

Dp loves scary movies.... but he mostly loves the gory ones where people get hacked up and stuff. Now that I can't handle.

Ahhh no nightmares for me last night thank goodness lol. I think maybe as we get older the reality that it could be happening in real life is what freaks me out, when I was a kid I never thought of that... I really hate movies about possesion and true stories like texas chainsaw masacre and wolf creek *shudders*
