I've honestly sat on the toilet and thought .. hmm I could sleep here .. I'm THAT tired - and maybe .. just maybe I wouldn't be disturbed by the word "mum" for a few minutes??? sad that its THAT hard to get a few minutes of peace

Yes me too. Hence the "am I awake" thought. That seat can be mighty comfy sometimes

Default You know your tired when...

You wash all your newborns size 000 clothes in preparation for the transition from 0000 and you have left the tags on half of them in the washing machine.

Oh and I just made a banana cake - however the mashed bananas are still sitting in the bowl cos i forgot to add them to the bigger bowl with all the ingredients. Mmm banana cake - minus bananas.

Default You know your tired when...

I can always tell I'm over tired when I realise in the morning that I've sleep walked. Happened last night as I've woken up this morning with a change of outfit ..... On top of my pajamas :/

When you are telling a story for your children at bedtime, and then you realise you are dozing off.. and instead of continuing on with the three bears, you have been saying any words that came into your hazy head... such as 'but how do they get fishfingers on the fork?" (I kid you not)

... and your kids are looking at you like you've gone mad.

Or like when you've had a HUGE day at work, it's really late and you just want to get home and see your kids.. but you can't remember where you put your keys... and you pull bags and bags of stuff apart.. other concerned adults start to help as they see the panic in your face (I work 60kms from home, no one could just 'drop me off') and then someone goes through a bag you've been through 10 times before and finds them in 30 seconds.. (I had been up since 4 and it was 8:30 and I'd been liaison for my schools J-Rock entry.. tiring stuff!)

Default You know your tired when...

When you wrap up leftovers with cling wrap and put the cling wrap in the fridge and the leftovers in the draw. Only realizing you've done this when your 5 year old asks why the cling wrap is in the fridge.

You keep telling your DD to get her pyjamas on and go to bed...in the morning..when you are really trying to say 'get dressed, we have to go to kindy'. This happened to me yesterday, i was so tired, DD was very confused.

You go shopping and realise halfway through that people probably weren't looking at you strangely cos you had a baby, they were looking at you strangely cos you had totally different thongs on each foot. Like stand out bling different.
