Default IVF centres that do 2 embryo transfer.

    Hi all

First of all, everyone has a different situation. I understand that 1 embryo transfer is the best starting place.

HOWEVER, that aside, my question is: which IVF centres allow 2 embryos to be transferred back in at once. I'm in my mid-20s, and am planning my first IVF attempt soon. Some things in my situation are making it a relevant point to at least investigate as an option.

I'm asking because I've heard one centre will not consider it for anyone under 35, regardless of the situation or attempts. I may have heard wrong but I'd love some reassurance!

Hi Cardigan, GL with your first cycle.
Most centres do double transfers but not usually in the first cycle and especially if you are young. It is usually reserved for ladies who have had multiple BFN or embryo quality is poor. however there is probably differences between clinics so you may be able to find a doctor who will do a double first off

I dont think you are going to have any luck having two put back if there is no real reason.

I had 4 failed transfers at my first clinic, I was 20. He refused to test and wouldn't even discuss putting two back. I changed clinics and he asked if I wanted to put two but wanted to do testing etc. I was 'allowed' to put two back from then but didn't until my 9th transfer.
