I'm CD15 and got a +OPK today. I usually O on the day of my OPK so I guess I was wrong in thinking I ovulate on CD13 - looks like CD15 is my day! Wasted egg this month

So rainbow road - can you DTD today then? Then the egg won't be wasted?

And Lil Smurfy - I'm not doing any testing either, just DTD every day or 2nd day since CD11, today is CD16. Last month had a 35 day cycle - working on that it will be between 28 & 35 days this month, so figuring we'll try to cover all bases and DTD for 2 weeks straight! ha ha. Hubby is loving it!

If this "relaxed" approach brings no joy after a few months then maybe I'll try some OPK's. Will just see how we go to start with.

We were doing home insemination with my friend as donor (same sex couple ) but he can't do it this month (he's in QLD). We've got an appointment with a fertility specialist on the 18th of Sept to get the ball rolling for IUI with donor sperm, so counting down to that now! 13 days to go!

    oh right, cool!
Well that certainly makes it a little more difficult for you then!
Your appt will be here in no time though, it's hard when you're impatiently waiting for something isn't it!

    Hi Ladies,

I have been away from BH for a while - have been on holidays. Welcome to everyone new - I haven't had a chance to read through everyone's yet but will try!

AF arrived on the 2nd day of our holiday... yuck! So am now on CD5. Could have SWORN i was utd - even DH was convinced. My b00bs have grown and were really sensitive and sore in the last couple of weeks before AF, and was having nausea, fatigue, and cramps right from O to AF... took a HPT the morning we left and BFN, and then AF arrived to seal the deal.

Am confused by my psychosomatic b00b enlargement lol! but ah well. its probably a good thing I wasn't utd for holidays... there was a lot of cheese and seafood and wine...!

I get large breasts around AF time - and all the symptoms are really similar - especially if you are taking extra special notice of them!!
I'm trying to stay focused on something else this month (losing 5kg) so that I don't read into every little sign or symptom that may or may not be there!

Yeah, they usually get fuller around AF, but this time it is noticeable... like almost a whole cup size noticeable, and they haven't disappeared yet! haha am quite enjoying it actually - being rather small usually, its quite novel lol.

anyway, I agree, its good to have something else to focus on! That's a great goal mrsleesey, are you doing anything differently to reach your goal? its always nice to feel healthy and fit - always makes me feel happier if I am exercising regularly. i hope it goes well for you!

Yes I always feel better when I'm doing regular exercise & just generally eating better. Winter gets the better of me & I get slack on both fronts!
So I'm just doing what works for me about this time every year which is exercising most days (Friday & Sunday are rest days)- walking and/or running & eating more protein based meals. Tuna & beans for lunch & steak or chicken with salad for tea. Snack on a piece of fruit & a small tub of yoghurt during the day. Drinking lots of water & keeping treats for the weekend.
I figure 5kg is a good goal to aim for & if I do fall pregnant during that time I'll have a head start on any weight gain caused thru pregnancy. I'm not overweight-am in my healthy BMI range, but it's always nice to feel slimmer in Spring & Summer!
I have a thread in the Weight Loss category, if you'd like to join me, pls do! Its always more fun when someone else is keeping you accountable!
