Default Car seat positioning 7.5 yo and newborn

Thinking ahead to January. I will have a 7.5yo and a newborn. Where do put the newborn's car seat? Miss 7.5 is old enough to get out of the car on her own when she is dropped at ballet or school. I can see pluses and minuses to both. I want opinions please.

Where would you put the baby and the 7.5yo?

I would put bub in the middle so your dd can safely exit the car from the passenger side

This. And also, remember that dd exiting from that side means she will always step out onto the kerb no matter which side of the road you're on.
