    Default Water birth

    Anyone had/having a water birth?
Would live to hear about your experience. I'm thinking this may be a path I want to head down.

Lol, I'm going crazy, I posted then deleted because I thought it was a due in section. Now I realise it's not.

Yes, 2 water births here! Would have had 5 if I could have. Waaaay superior to my land births!!

    Default Water birth

Water was my savior for all three of my births, couldn't imagine birthing without it.
However only one of my bubs was born in water. He was over 10 pound and I didn't tear or take drugs for the pain. I really think this was due to being in water.

    yep - i've never had a tear either and my bubbas were 9lb 5oz - 10lb 1oz!
Definitely due to being in the water I reckon.

Loved my waterbirth (discomfort aside!) Certainly won't be hesitating to have another for future pregnancies.

I might, might not. The birthing centre where I'm having my bub has lovely big baths. The midwives have been through the necessary info, and I've signed the consent form (yes... have to sign a consent form for a water birth but not for an epidural or anything). I certainly intend to use the bath during labour, but will see how I go. If it's working and I want to stay there, then I guess I will. Otherwise, might try something else.

I had a waterbirth and a land birth (failed waterbirth). I would choose a waterbirth any day.
