I second learning to cut in by hand - looks much better! If you're in SA, I would reccomend top line paint http://www.toplinepaint.com.au/Default.htm it is the best paint I've ever used, we just finished painting the whole house with it and the price is great
Defo reccomend washing down with sugar soap first too, and filling/sanding any holes or cracks. Good luck!
