The curls are beautiful, but personally I would cut it. I'm not a fan of long hair on little boys. I like it on grown men, but not toddlers/ children. Just a personal preference thing.

If you like it then don't worry about what other people say.

I love longer hair on boys! Not so long it's in a ponytail but like your son's.

I HATE crew cuts on little boys with a passion! Looks so bogan/redneck

You do realise that's just as much of a judgement as those that say long hair on boys looks sissy/real boys have short hair?

I wouldn't cut it, I adore long hair on little dudes!

My parents would carry on about making him gay too. To them having a gay child is like the worst thing that could ever happen to a parent. And apparently long hair on a boy is the root cause?

ETA: I don't care if any children of mine are gay. As long as they're happy & healthy, who they love is fine with me!

So! It's only my opinion, and you have yours. That's cool. Who said anything about judgement?

PS I don't subscribe to the term 'sissy' - is it meant to be insulting?? Toddlers can't look 'sissy' - they're toddlers

Heck no. If you don't want to don't

This is my 3.5 year olds curls, he's getting his buzz-cut off next week because he hates getting them washed, worse for brushing, can't dry them, and he's excited about having "hair like daddy - but brown" (df has black hair )

So so sad but it's just a massive pain. I'd keep them if it wasn't a source of drama.

You are stereotyping boys with short hair saying they are bogans and rednecks? I don't have an issue with you not liking short hair, I don't like it long.

Anyhoo, I'll leave it alone, just hate people saying boys with short hair are rednecks...

I didn't even realise that was considered long.

DS has hair like that, gorgeous curls, and nobody has ever mentioned that he has long hair. All he ever gets is compliments!

I have cut it to maintain it at this length, and yes, they do lose the tight ringlets (usually) when it's cut. DS still has curls but nothing like the beautiful ringlets he used to have.

Keep it long, it looks lovely. I'm not fussed on really short cuts for littlies.
