Welcome to our 2WW group Tickle!!!
This is my second Stim cycle. The first one was certainly harder.
I remember my first cycle- I was crazy using "Dr Google" for every symptom of progesterone, every early pregnancy symptom... everything I should/ shouldn't eat. It made me very stressed. Especially when it ended the worst way- with a BFP (Big Fat Positive) that then failed to continue due to the HcG levels not rising enough for it to be a viable pregnancy. After that I had a cancelled FET (frozen embryo transfer) 1 hour before transfer as the embryo failed to defrost. After 2 cycles of stress and tears I am over that sort of stress.

This time I am taking a more relaxed attitude. At this point I have done everything I can- I went to all the blood tests, took all my fertility drugs on time and properly, attended every appointment...I have done all I was asked to, including taking all the vitamins to start a healthy pregnancy.
At this point nature will be nature. What will be will be. I can't change anything now, other than to be careful to avoid things like over heating or eating contaminated food.

By this time next week I will know- or earlier if AF (Aunt Flow: period) shows up. If it is BFN, then I will have a cry and make an appointment for the FS (fertility specialist) to plan another cycle.
If it's a BFP then great, but only Step One for me.
Then the biggest wait starts: I have to wait for the Hcg has to rise to confirm the pregnancy is viable, wait for an ultrasound to see a heartbeat, then I have to wait to get to far along enough for genetic testing as I am over 40.
Assuming all is good, it's a long haul while I wait some more for the baby to be viable gestation- I have a risk it may come premature as I have a poor pregnancy history with pre-eclampsia.
Big picture for me is the 2WW is really quite short, and only means I either start a new wait or try again. Hopefully I get to start the next wait!

I hope for you, the 2WW is short, positive and continues to a baby!
    When's your blood test Tickle?

Some ladies will try and find out before the BT (blood test) with a home pregnancy test (POAS= Pee on a stick). Do you think you'll POAS? I'm just going to wait because I figure it will be same by next Saturday anyway.

    Fortitude xoxo

    Hi Fortitude,

Thanks for your reply - it is so comforting to know that I'm not the only person it the world who is going crazy!

Do you have children already? We don't have any, well we have a very cute, spoilt King Charles spaniel - she loves the fact we over compensate with her as my DH and I started trying 3 years ago to complete our family.

I said I wouldn't do a POAS however after the last few days I have a feeling I might POATS (**** on a thousand sticks) haha

I handled the 150 Gonal F and other injections quite well but the Anesthetic knocked me around and I fell apart about 3 days after.. But picked myself back up after a few days rest.

Our embryo was 9 cell @ day 3 and the embryologist said the Blast looked "better than the display picture" so they are confident - I just don't want to get my hopes up.

We were to start IUI last month, attended scans, had a trigger needle only to be called an hour before to be told they couldn't do it - we were shattered.. Then made the quick decision to start IVF

    Good luck everyone! Xx

    BT 5/9

    Welcome Tickle and mrs Dolphin!!

Fortitude you are so right, this is just the beginning, the waiting after a BFP is the hardest, but we need to begin to get there.

I'll be in the same boat as you, due to my chromosome abnormalities detected in our embryos in past m/c's. If this is a positive and I pray that it is, the wait till first scan and then the next wait till 12 wks will be our hardest due to this being the critical time for us between 6-9wks.

Trying not to look too far ahead, but I think it's good to feel excitement and hope and celebrate the steps, even if you just take day by day.

Tickle as fortitude said, try and not overheat or eat contaminated foods and enjoy this special time. You can't change anything, nature will take its course. Positivity is a great outlook to have.

If your struggling or have any questions ask away and I'm sure we can help you!!

Lots of baby dust for us all!!! Someone told me the other day to be excited as my embies were coming home- she is so right!!

On a side note I told DH about PUPO and what it stands for, he now keeps saying it- very cute!

welcome Tickle 84 and Mrs dolphin.
Zakmick- My husband is also really cute and calls me Mrs PUPO and last night at dinner he served me up a huge meal. When i commented on it being huge he said '' Oh well you are eating for 3" I laughed. It is really nice that he is trying to stay really positive .

Hey is anyone on steroids? I've been getting annoying headaches after I take it. I'm only on a short course for 5-7 days.

    Hi Mrs D - thank you <3

I had 2 transferred, i don't know about our 3rd one - it was at morula stage yesterday, they were growing it out today. I'll find out tomorrow. My blasty wasn't of great quality, and the morula either, so i'm hoping with everything that they are little fighters.
