Default Do you enjoy having visitors over? if not, why not?

Not particularly, I always feel like I have to clean everything spotless, cook heaps of food and drink, and entertain them all day long. ESP people who outstay their welcome.

Love visitors but only when it's a planned visit. I really hate it when people just 'drop in' because 99.9% of the time they do it's the day the house is a mess, the toddler is throwing a tanty and in a horrid mood, I look like a mess (feel it too) there's no food or drinks to offer them. I much prefer to be organised.

Hmm depends who it is, how long they are staying and how much notice i have. I tend to get very anxious when i know visitors are coming and if it is unannounced or very short notice i freak out - i need adequate notice so i can mentally prepare and also clean the house.

I prefer people to come and visit than having to pack DD up and leave the house. I prefer it mostly because then I'm on my own time, if DD gets tired early, no probs she can have a good sleep in her cot, not a 45min nap in he pram.
I prefer at least half an hours notice though. I can be a little pedantic and house proud lol!

I love it and wish they'd stay longer.

Although we have a lot of visitors who 'pop by' on a Friday afternoon and leave late Sunday night. We must be fantastic company.

I love having people over for coffee & to catch up. We grew up in a house where we never had people over so I love it that people come around & feel welcome in our house. Saying that, I do appreciate some notice so I can quickly vacuum the floors

I enjoy it, easier to have people come to us because of the kids. Our yard is very child friendly and very spacious so it's no drama, I like to keep kids that visit out of the house though.
