    Default Light hearted escapes

I am an avid reader and at the moment I have a lot of uni work going on, but I still want to be able to take some time for myself and escape through a decent book.

I'm after some recommendations for some light reading.

Just saw this had no replies. I've read all the Sookie Stackhouse mysteries this year (the books the show TrueBlood is based on) and they were really fun. Not terribly well written but good stories and characters and very funny too.

I've just started the Hunger Games which is an easy read too.

Marian Keyes is good too, I don't generally love chick lit but she's not too bad.

I've been reading pretty light stuff the last few months, too- my pregnant brain can't handle too much. So I'd be interested to see other people's recommendations.

Twilight/trueblood/hunger games are my go to light reads

Also the Beautiful Creatures series I've just finished (currently three in the series with fourth and final to be released next year) wasn't a bad one either

Not sure what genre you like to read but Morganville Vampires is an easy yet addictive series to read. Currently reading it for similar reasons. I am so busy with ft work and my business but love to read so like series that are captivating and you get involved but without having to think too much and needing hours to get through a chapter

Harry Potter, Sookie Stackhouse, Twilight, Hunger Games.
I'm reading Message In A Bottle at the moment which isn't too bad.

    I agree with PP.

I'd also add the Mercy Thompson series or the Alpha and Omega series bu Patricia Briggs

    Or anything by Kelley Armstrong
