Thank you all so much for your input it has really helped. My DH has been around quads and dirt bikes all his lie so he is alot more cofident about the whole thing than me but i have decided I am going to have to say no on this one at least till she is a bit older. I will suggest we but an electric one to get her used to it first and then consider a petrol one when I am more compfortable with the idea. I think the issue is i have never ridden one so i don't understand there capabilities, DH wanted me to ride a dirt bike yesterday but I am pregnant so thougt it best to say no lol. Again thanks for the help I just hope DH undestands my reservations.

    Default Are Quad bikes dangerous?

We are farmers do our kids have ridden quads since they are were 3 ds2 who is 4 is not allowed to ride unsupervised but ds1 often rides around the farm by himself it really does depend on the individual child as ds1 is very careful knows when to slow down and all that but ds2 is a lead foot so we have his quad wound down to a walking pace speed which you can do to most little quads so even when they put full throttle on they can still only go a fast walking pass.

Do your research re safety features. Dh is buying a Can Am quad bike for him and we intended to wait til ds1 is 5yrs old next year before getting him one but because of the good deal we have been offered if we buy his 90cc with ours we researched the bike and are awaiting it's arrival. Ds1 will be taught to ride it and will have all the safety gear and certainly won't be riding it unsupervised.
