    Default money saving ideas

Set up transfers / bpay for each bill whenever you get paid. And try to save even $5 a week adds up.

Shop around for insurances, electricity, phone plans etc.

If its cold, cook dinner in the oven. When meal is finished turn it off and leave the oven door open.

Meal plan and write a shopping list... And STICK TO IT! Shop at night to take advantage of meat & bakery clearance. Buy the cheap brands. Go to markets for fruit & veg.

Sell old clothes / toys etc on eBay.

Shop for new clothes, toys, household items at op shops & garage sale or only buy at sales.

Get haircuts at your local training college.

Walk instead of drive. Pack lunch instead of buy. Take advantage of free activities - beach, park etc.

Turn appliances off at the point.

Use home remedies for cleaning. (Bicarb, vinegar etc)

For some extra money offer to do ironing, house cleaning, babysitting etc.

Save little and save often. And then don't touch it!
We all try and save, but then we go and use it! Only save what you can afford not to touch. That way it adds up and you can generally get extra interest if you make a minimum deposit each month and don't touch it.
Read the "Making Money" book. I brought it a few weeks ago off eBay for about $5 and it has some very good points in it!
