Conceiving straight after a miscarriage?

Just wondering if anyone has conceived again quite soon after a miscarriage? Did you start trying straight away or did you wait for your first proper period after the miscarriage? I have heard that you can be quite fertile immediately following a miscarriage, but would like to hear people's stories. Thanks

I had a m/c at 5 weeks. Bled for about week. I must have ovulated 14 days later, didn't have a period because I fell pregnant with DS he is now 18 months old

Generally speaking you would ovulate 14 days after your hcg returns to 0 but not always. Maybe get your dr to arrange blood tests to track your levels back down so you know where you stand. I can understand your urgency to conceive again given all that you have been through but do be gentle with yourself.

We had a blighted ovum with our first that was picked up at the 12 week scan. I was told I could try whenever I was ready, but it took me 4 months to want to and the first month we conceived DS.

Like SPG said, be gentle with yourself and try whenever you feel ready.
