Default *rant* who needs common sense

My friend never believed me about swaddling her bub, until.... I had him over night, he was 4 weeks old and I swaddled him and tucked him into the basinett, he slept through for the first time... When she came to pick him up she was very interested in learning to swaddle!!

I think because you dont have kids they just thought what you said was invalid. However what you said is exactly what I do and it works! I would just ignore the looks.

Then again I might of possiby come out with some smart remark to their looks. But thats probably not the best action to take.

I agree your heart was in the right place.

And, I'd also like to add that the information you have is correct- for some babies. Unfortunately there's no solution that works for every baby. (Wish there was, I'd write a book and be a millionaire!)

But, the wooshing/shooshing - yes, I can confirm this is one school of thought and it has merit- worked on 50% of my children
