Well DS is usually an awesome sleeper too, down at 8.30 and only up once til 7am. Just coz he is a sick little munchkin at the moment
I usually quit pretty easily. Last time I quit cold turkey for 3 years. This time I'm aiming for a lot longer than that

Hope your monkey feels better soon.

Never give up on giving up!! The only times I succeeded were when I really made up my mind to do it. There were more failed attempts than successful ones over the years. I think you've really gotta want it. I find that even just 24 hours without one made me feel better so I tell myself 'imagine how much better you'll feel after another 24 hours, and another after that'.

I just lose the plot big time, I just can't seem to cope with life at all while I try to quit, so pathetic. I'd like to try ch@mpix but have a history of depression and some not so pleasant thoughts so afraid to use it after hearing scary stories.

And the extra money would be awesome. I worked out DH wastes $4000 a year on cigarettes

I used it as a 'go to' response to stress too over the last 8 months. Email/text from XH or solicitor, grab a smoke. Glass of wine? Grab a smoke. Tantrum from 2yo? Grab a smoke. It was ridiculous. You need to find some other way to cope and put the money you'd normally spend on smokes into a money box you can't get in to - one of those tin ones that you need a can opener to get in to. Then you can reward yourself at the end of the month :-) next time you reward yourself after two months etc etc.
