I would decline the invite to the reception, but as a PP said a ceremony in a church or venue is a public place and I believe that by law anyone can come in to witness a wedding (goes back to that does anyone have objections bit - if you 'lock' people out you may have something to hide from) - therefore I would attend the ceremony WITH my son

I wouldn't buy a fancy gift, just a book. I would find one about parenting the autistic child, or living with autism - something like that.

I would also get as many of photos I could of my son with the cousin and put together a lovely book talking about how lovely the relationship was/ is.

I'd go to the wedding and bribe someone else's kid to make a scene ..

Wow. What an unsupportive women. I wonder how the tides would change if she has a child with special needs one day. I wouldnt go but would organize a brass band to march past at several opportune moments.

Yes! Awesome lol. Some people are ridiculous about weddings. The bride sounds like a spoilt brat.

VicPark - your idea is AWESOME!!! Except they'd probably get in trouble from their parents so it'd have to be a pretty big bribe lol.

Go and in the ceremony before they say I DO jump up and yell "I OBJECT - my nephew shouldn't be marrying such a heinous <insert word for female dog>.

If you have an international keyboard layout it is easy, but otherwise you need to know the ACII code for the letter, hold down the alt key and type the three digit ASCII code on the number pad. For example ý is ALT-236 but the numbers must be typed on the number pad, not using the numbers at the top of the keyboard.

I reckon the groom is just as bad for not standing up to her. Or even worse because it's his family and he's not staining up for them. He needs to grow a set of you know what's.

That bride is an ugly-hearted *****. God help her children should they happen to be born anything less than perfect.
