Default DS won't settle for DH anymore...

    Hi everyone,

DS (11 mths) has just started to cry and scream anytime DH tries to put him to bed or resettle him at night. He will scream and cry until I take him and then immediately be quiet and go to sleep. I guess this is just a phase but I wondered if it was common and if anyone has any ideas on anything that we could do to help? TIA

My 4 year old still and always had preferred me. He has a great time with his dad at times but is very much a mummies boy

Thanks Happy2be3. Did he go through phases? DS was happy for DH to put him to bed last week, but this week he hates it... I went out Wed night and he screamed for 30 minutes, which he never does normally.

Oh yes most definitely! I work each weekend and on weekends dh is my son's best friend! During the week when I am ds main carer he becomes more of a mummies boy and insists I do everything for him! It's normal for kids to gravitate towards their main carer more often :-)
