The midwife I saw put me off by the fact that she had my paperwork mixed in with other peoples, and vice versa. Paper everywhere and she kept losing things and putting my papers in another persons plastic sleeve!

I'm seeing Dr Klomp - I don't mind his odd personality, as long as he does his job.

I'm concerned that if they're big on a natural birth they'll do their best to talk me out of an epidural even if I really want/need one.

Thank you for your info, it's very helpful. I've packed baby's bag with disposable nappies, singlets and cotton and muslin wraps - haven't even thought about what I'm going to bring for myself!

    What midwife was it?

I don't think they will be like that. I've had plenty of friends labor at Mount Barker that had epidurals. There was a little wait, but that's public health for you.

I brought my own pillow with me, that was important for me! And heaps of really unflattering granny panties. Make sure you get the high cut ones too incase you end up having a c section.

I can't remember the midwife I got while booking in, but the others I've encountered have been lovely.

This is the most important thing I'll ever do, I just want it to go as well as possible 😊

I've heard it's a good hospital, a lot of the staff there also work at victor which is where I had gone for my last 2 pregnancies 2011 and 2012
