Anyone bought from this website? Is there any hidden costs as I am looking at a few things on there site and they are like 1/4 of the price of the same item if bought here. Postage looks reasonable also. Is that all you pay or is there import taxes on the item as well? I won't be purchasing over $100 so is under the $1000 for import duties. So confused! Advice greatly appreciated

I buy regularly off the uk site.
Never had an issue, I have never encountered hidden costs

    It's great

I don't think so. I buy from the uk site because I get blurays, games and textbooks and they're all compatible with aus appliances and the textbooks are the same as ours.

I imagine the only difference would be shipping costs

I've bought from both the Uk and US sites and never had a problem. Takes about 2-3 weeks usually to get here. Even with postage its usually a truckload cheaper than buying here. No hidden nasties that I've come across.

You just pay the item plus postage - only pay import tax if over $1000 and if there is import tax customs will contact you directly and make you pay before you collect your item. Amazon have nothing to do with that side of it. I've never ordered anything that required import tax though.

No hidden costs - although postage for heavier items can be expensive.

Some things - like baby goods - cant be sent to Australia though.

I was looking at cake tins, here they are like 40, then on there site its 15! Its werid its the same thing cannot understand why it is so expensive here.

Then Australia wonders why we buy overseas.. Why is the same thing cheaper over there then here lol!

I notice they don't take papal, or have I missed something?

Is there a way in knowing if an item can be posted to Australia before checking out and being told it cannot be posted.?

Bought some baby swaddles from amazon today - $50 for 5 of them and a change table cover, plus $50 shipping (wow!). But even with the huge shipping cost it's heaps cheaper than buying them in Australia. Madness.

And I bought 6 x bumgenius MCNs from a US site yesterday - US$86 plus about $30 shipping. Here it's $140 for the nappies and $15 shipping.

Ridiculous. I'm just going to buy EVERYTHING from the US from now on.
