    Hey ladies,

I just posted these on the FB site but for those of you not on there, am reposting here...anyone heard of these?

Post 1: I've seen this book advertised ona few miscarriage websites etc now...anyone familiar with it and whether it is legitimate? Looking at the testimonials, I'm almost ready to get my credit card out!

Jsut a quick post - Rae - don't buy the book. Google Soul Cysters and pregnancy miracle. I looked at the website and initially I was filled with a 'wow, I want it' but hten I had that ick feeling. I think you are far better putting that $40 towards an appointment with a chinese medicine person to help develop a personal plan. There is no one size fits all solution for getting people pregnant and it makes me sad that so many women ahve been preyed on.

    Hi Luey,

Thanks for your post. I did do your google search and read through the comments. It was too late for me because I have already purchased and started reading the book. I think that so far, I wouldn't call it a scam, I'd agree it preys on people's emotions and dreams for a pregnancy miracle however for someone new to infertility or even self taught, there are some good things in it. If you've been around the ropes for a very long time and know everything, then you probably don't need to read it (or buy it) but I am learning some things through it. The other book that I bought 'Eating for Conception' was probably a waste of money and not necessary (there's a whole lot recipes and foods in there I've never heard of in Australia or Europe, i.e. what is a yam?) I am learning a few things through the PM though like getting a better awareness of Chinese medicine and acupuncture, the concept of Qi and how it affects fertility, insufficient water intake and it's effect on EWCM, different chinese herbs and their effect on fertility processes, different vitamins etc. I wouldn't say it's all bad.

I did however go and see a Chinese medicine/acupuncturist yesterday and felt more ripped off by them. After getting home and commencing my pill popping expedition (she had prescribed me a total of 153 pills per day (excluding my multivitamins and folic acid). The cost for all of those herbs was $355 for 18 days worth. I paid an additional $120 for the acupuncture, total cost was $475. As I sat here at my computer trying to swallow all these pills I realised how I had been sucked in through my own desperation and that I would never be able to sustain taking so many pills everyday, after all, I hadn't even completed 1 entire dose. I don't know that I was ripped off by PM but I do think I was ripped off by the chinese herb lady in one of the more affluent suburbs of Perth.

I started my supercharged multivitamin last night, will keep up with my dhea & folic acid, keep up the acupuncture, have yesterday changed my diet based on knowledge I already had but also stuff I did learn from the book and the chinese medicine specialist and we'll see how that goes. As for the $355 worth of chinese herbs? Well, they're sitting in my medicine cabinet now. Thanks for your heads up though. xx

Hope all are going well. I am in the middle of a health kick. More exercise better eating, even bit the bullet today & decided to tray the meal replacement shakes again try to give this extra weight a kick in the butt! I am hoping that loosing a couple kilos or 20 might give us a better chance. Don't get me wrong I am not HUGE but still over where I would like to be.

Well done lama. I am also back on track after my holiday. I gained so much weight. Now back exercising and eating right.

    Delerium fingers crossed.

Ralene I glad the book has been helpful for you. So disappointing the Chinese Medicine person was not helpful. It is so hard to find someone that clicks for you.

Me- I think I ovulate d last Sunday. Trying not to think about it.

Have a great week end everyone.

Well done luey, lama & del on lifestyle changes, seems we're all at it :-)

AFM - Due to 'o' tomorrow so fingers crossed that the extra multivitamins, reduced coffee, chilli, curry & lemonade, stress & addition of copious amounts of water & acupuncture have all helped to produce an almost birthday conception. It's my birthday on the 11th so it would be nice to be able to say we were successful with a sticky one this cycle. I'm feeling pretty good about things and nowhere near the depths of despair I was in a couple of weeks ago. Will be drinking water like no tomorrow today and tomorrow to see whether it does in deed help the EWCM become more conducive to fertilisation.

    Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone's weekend is going well so far. I was due to 'o' today but I think I may have last night. I had some really bad headaches during the afternoon and evening and had heaps of ewcm last night (maybe the water did work?) Anyway, I had the strangest dream, it was so vivid, I remember very specific details and I have no idea what such a dream would mean but I'm keeping my fingers, toes and everything else crossed. I dreamt that I gave birth to a baby boy. I saw the birth (I was squatting when he was delivered), I think it was a pain free birth, I saw DH cutting the cord and he was healthy. I saw all his little features, he was beautiful. Like I said, a very strange dream and certainly keeping everything crossed.

Other than that, I don't have any news. How's everyone else keeping?

    Hi ladies,

Luey, Lama and Del - u go girls on ur healthy lifestyle! Whatever u can do to make u feel stronger physically and mentally can only be a good thing!

Rae - glad ur feeling better and i really really hope and pray ur dream comes true for a birthday miracle.

    to everyone else!

AFM - well i've gone from a 45 day cycle to being ready to o on day 10!! Must be the FSH injections, the ovary drilling and the metformin i guess. So we triggered today and have been at it like rabbits . I was meant to go home and visit my family but my mum was more than happy for me to stay away as her walls aren't very thick!!! Really hoping this is it given it will almost be our two year anni from when we first got preg.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunny weekend. xx
