We use white noise for our 5 month old and 19 month old as well as ourselves and all of us (except me who has insomnia ATM) are great sleepers. My daughter will sleep without it however but I have found its great if someone decides to mow at 7am or do burn outs at 3am

Default Is Background Music @ Night when Putting Newborn to Sleep Unwise?

I have sounds for silence but bubby sleeps in our room (and will until at least 6 months to reduce SIDS risk) and I don't think DP would sleep with it on?

I do 'Shhhhh shhhh shhh shhh shhh shhh' from my bed when she stirs though, which is working a little, unless she is genuinely hungry/windy.

This. We are often so tired that we all sleep through. And we have it quite loud
