    Hi loveabug

Thanks for asking........things are going really well. I have my first scan tomorrow which makes me 7w6d. Still really nervous but I know that's normal. I had so many bloods test weekly and my HCG doubled how it should. Last test on Monday was HCG 101,000......
tomorrow is first appointment with OB......have had only mild morning sickness. More just nauseous if I don't eat and extremely sore breasts. It's been good as I have been off work since 20Dec but go back this Sunday. I'm lucky being a shift worker as I can still come home and have naps during the day. Lol
anyway off to the cricket today which should distract me for the day as I just want to get past tomorrow and hear the heartbeat......

sorry if if too long of a post.

How are you Hun.... What's your next steps?

    cheers Kylee

Default Long Term IVF Warrior Women #2

Kylee looks like your having all the good symptoms. Enjoy your appointment today. It's been a long time since I have seen or heard a heart beat. It's the best feeling.
Let us know how you go.

    MGC Bertie how are you?

Well I have no IVF plans as yet. DH has taken a new position so we will be moving soon. Once DD has settled we will jump aboard the train. I think DH wants to go as soon as maybe February.

Lovabug... thanks for thinking of me. I didn't get Friday's BT on Friday, and won't get the results until tomorrow (Mon) as my immune specialist never rang back (even though I left two messages on Friday and one on Saturday) and the GP on-call (as my GP is away until Monday too!!) wouldn't tell me the results over the phone, as he said, "I don't know the rest of your history, so I can't interpret the result" so have no idea if I'm safely over the 6 week mark yet or not. What a comment!! I'm sure he could have just told me the silly number!!

Kyle hope your OB appointment went well.

Bertie how crappy. Considering they are your results. Sending lots of positive thoughts.

Lovebug....I did get Friday's BT results today - Hcg is 54,000 (36dpo) which I thought would have been higher than that since it was 21,000 at 29dpo. I know that doubling time is 48hrs in the first few weeks (which it has been spot on), and then starts to slow down, but this week makes the doubling time 123hrs - well, I guess there's nothing I can do so will have to just wait and see what the scan shows tomorrow (Tues). P4 has increased to 165, but Dr M said to stay on 3 x pessaries per day - was kind of hoping that I could decrease these.

MGC - the doubling time does slow heaps once you hit a certain number, I thought it was around 20,000, but I might be making that up. As for pessaries, unless your levels are huge, I think most FSs like to keep you on the full dose until the placenta develops and can take over p4 production. I think that was around 9 weeks for me from memory.

Sariele... thanks for that info. The progesterone pessaries is going to be the first question I ask my immune specialist / ob next Mon, I'm really hoping he will decrease it to two a day.

AFM....after stressing myself to beyond nervousness, the bub was there plain to see on my first scan today. In fact, DH was so excited and kept babbling and babbling to the doctor, and eventually I had to tell him to be quiet for a while so the doctor could do his thing and take measurements. Quite clear to see the sac, the little fuzzy bean-shaped blob measured 15.33mm, and the heartbeat flickering away brightly. I asked the doctor what the heartbeat rate was, but he's just a temp (as my FS is away), but he said it's definitely over 100bpm as he could tell by how fast it was flickering. They're taking my EDD from 14 days before IUI, as opposed to day 1 of AF, so my adjusted EDD is now 27/8/15 and today makes 7w5d, even though on the scan bub is measuring 7w6d.

I was expecting to cry, be emotional and had told DH he would need to hold my hand, but strangely I didn't feel like that at all - it was kind of like an out-of-body experience, rather weird. Very relieved and happy, to say the least, but I so wasn't expecting to feel sort of removed from it. I think it just still doesn't feel real :-))
