If not, very excited/nervous about our FS appt next Tuesday to discuss our findings. Really hoping we will proceed next cycle (CD1 = 29th May) anyone got any experience with how long they make you wait after your return visit to FS?

caketin cant wait to see your little one!!
Net Thanks for the encouragement and welcome back!
Oh Wishnhope - I have my fingers crossed for you! My FS made us take a month break between cycles after we cancelled my first one. Just gave my body a chance to relax and get back to normal. Plus my cycle decided to go from 35 days to around 60 days due to the drugs in my system (possibly the synarel).

I cannot wait until I meet my little one either! I really want to know what it is!

Kerikiwi. I'm sorry to read of your levels dropping. I MC'd my first pregnancy at about 8w. It sucks, but certainly gets easier to deal with later down the road. Hopefully you'll get back on track with ease.

Lubelu! So happy to see you here again. It's great that 2 of my IVF cyclers from 2-3 years ago are here again!

I'm nearing the end of my TWW. Final bloods on Thursday. I'll be doing it externally, so won't get results until Friday. I'm not one to POAS normally (I only ever done it twice), but am very tempted. My last boost injection was last Thursday. What would you all do?

Question for you lady's..... DH's sample wasn't the best when they froze today so I'm tempted to get him to do another tommorrow before he flys out just in case it's better. They advised they could only use the sample if they did ICSI..... Thoughts ?????? For our fresh cycle, and all tests were normal so maybe his sperm don't like winter weather lol

Brookeb - we did ICSI for our cycle due to hubby's issue. It costs only slightly more but it means that all eggs get fertilised but they are still left to progress the same as if you didn't do ICSI.

We did ICSI, of 7mature eggs all 7 fertilised, we transferred 1 (my DS) and have 4 frozen, so pretty successful for us... I think the bonus with ICSI is that the embryologist uses the best looking guys instead of the process of natural selection with IVF... ICSI is used alot.

I wouldnt worry bout him doing another sample, unless the clinic pushes for it, if they thought they couldn't use what he'd produced they'd tell you, they need can do more with alot less with ICSI, hence tge reason with MFI it is used nearly 100% of the time XX

    Hi Caketin,

the lab lady scared me today saying that she didn't like using ICSI as sometimes it's bad for the egg and can cause it to collapse. Think I'm just getting stressed about doing this cycle on my own with dh away :-( I hope your good luck rubs off on me :-)

I wish they had a cure for second guessing during cycles haha. I can't seem to make a decision at all ATM, even what to do for lunch lol

    Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm in a situation where my fertility clinic won't treat me (IVF) because they made a mistake regarding my BMI previously because they measured my height wrong, and so that has thrown a whole of other things out for them. They had already done two iVF cycles and I was about to start my third when for some dumb reason the nurse decided to take my height and weight again. It was their stuff up and they have now turned around and said lose more weight. Which is easy for some but I am having a very hard time trying to she'd 2 measley kilos. They won't treat me because of 2kgs. Having a low AMH of 1.1 doesn't benefit my time pressures either.

Anyway, I am wondering if any of you ladies are at other clinics (Concept, Fertility North, Fertility Specialist South) and would like to know their stance on BMI? I have a BMI of 35.7 and my current clinic want me at 35 exactly or less. I'm doing all the right things, clean eating, I exercise 5 days a week etc etc. I have lost over 50kgs over a number of years but somehow my body won't let go of 2kgs. I feel like the clinic is dangling a fat piece of cake in front of me while I slog on the treadmill, just to give some imagery.

so any feedback would be appreciated. Also if those clinics are for or against DHEA. Thanks ladies
