Glad to see some ladies back in the Perth thread!

Rinche - Good luck with your FET this cycle.
Wishnhope - Somethings better than nothing hey! Hope it goes quickly for you and you then get a plan for moving forward with your IVF soon.
LindsayWA - All the best for your Transfer tmrw. You are only 2 days behind me!

Aneczka - How are you going???

Seeking Angels - I have read in this forum (or Perth girls #16 forum) that you can switch clinics and move your embies. (Maybe worth reading back a bit??) I would work out where you want to move to then ask them if they will do that. Then I think they would arrange it all for you????

Caketin - must be roughly 8 weeks to go. Not long now!!!!

Also In relation to those discussing problems at various clinics, I have been generally happy with Hollywood . The nurses are lovely there.
However I would recommend to All of you that you keep on top of results and the instructions they give you.
I have found that over the past 18months this time being with them, that I have had to question some things that I felt may jave been forgotten etc. ie. Progesterone, whether to have I/C or not on certain days, and that havent had scan at certain times etc.
Unfortunately the longer you have to be with the clinic the more knowledgeable you become so you can question them!
Everytime I did, I was correct! Glad I had the courage to ask!

AFM - Had 5day blasto transfered on Sat. So now just the long wait to find out if it works!!

Im with fertility specialists south and can't rate them highly enough, the nurses are lovely as are the receptionists, no complaints, always greet me by name and make me feel special. Egg retrevial was made all the better at attadale hospital with awesome staff that relaxed me from start to finish. Women with children visit the gynos at the clinic too and it doesn't upset me, but each to their own. you see kids everywhere so what can you do.

I had my 5d transfer on Monday 22nd April and waiting for bloods on Friday. Feeling horrible because I don't feel any different and think it may have failed, but at least I was able to freeze one for my next go.

    My first ivf cycle had taught me tho;
    1) I've never noticed as many pregnant ladies ever as I have in my 2ww haha
    2) progesterone gives me the most noxious gas ever !!!!! Suck eggs dh lol payback
    3) needles were a breeze (at least for me)
    4) small set backs seemed like they end of the world but wins felt fantastic !!!!

    Good luck everybody for me

SeekingAngels - I think most clinics offer this but there might be a charge involved. I know our clinic charges a small fee to transfer.

Aliboo - yes around 8 weeks left! I finish work on Friday so I'm very happy that I can concentrate on me & bub and getting ready!!

I also agree that you need to keep yourself up to date with your own info and cycles. Never be afraid to ask any questions!

I'm not sure if I felt any different during my 2ww, no sickness or feelings that I could have been pregnant!

    Hi Ladies

Im a Hollywooder too and love it there, probably because Ive been there for so long and its so familiar to me, even with a 2 year break to have DD, it still feels almost like home lol!

I wasnt booked in to see the FS until 8th May, but managed to get in on a cancellation two weeks ago and begged to start with a FET mid cycle....I got my way and started at CD10! I have just had a FET on Sunday so am now in the TWW, which I am coping with exceptionally well, I think this is because we have our DD so im not putting so much pressure on myself for it to work...still hoping it passes quickly though! Im on a natural cycle with just pregnyl, this is vastly different to my successful cycle, but my menstration is also vastly different since DD was born....so fx....

Regarding thawing - I have had a total of 6 FET's and this was the only one in which we lost an emby in the thaw...so we are down to 10 now..still I feel very lucky to have that many left on ice. Hollywood are now using a new technique to thaw, not approved yet by the Therapeutic Goods Administration, but apparently 20% more successful that the previous method.

Rinche - funny how we are cycling pretty much at the same time!! Kisses for Miss A.

CookieB - big congrats to you!!

    Goodluck to everyone else cycling

    Sarah x

    Hi girls
I've got a question.. Do you really think acupuncture before and after transfer is the way to go???? Do you recommend it? If yes how often and when? I'm doing my FET in may and just thinking about it now... Hmmmm????

I was seeing an accupuncturist a few months ago for infertilty and she suggested that it definately helps, especially those doing IVF. Ill be going back to her once we start (cant afford to go for the few months inbetween!)

Hey SarahnChaz. Was just thinking of you yesterday! How cool, almost on the same cycle. Fingers crossed we both have winning cycles together. 1st go this time round would be perfect.

    Anecza, (sorry for the spelling?)
I definitely recommend acupuncture. And its one thing that I find IVF clinics agree with. Acupuncture was the only thing I changed when I had my winning cycle # 10. I wasn't doing it before then. I've been going again for the last few months. I went last week for my usual appt (this one was a few days before AF). and will be going again on day 11, and again after transfer. My sister who also did IVF went (to a different acupuncturist to mind) on the day before her transfer, and again on the day of transfer.
