    Hi ladies,
It looks like it is a BFN, I tested today and my AF is due on Mon but I couldn't wait so I knew if it was negative than it will not turn positive. Feeling a little down but both DH & I are coping much better this time. Last time I was devastated but more mentally prepared for it this time so have not cried but feeling sad and disappointed.

TTCno2 - that sucks, so sorry . I really feel for you - take it easy.

AFM - I'm out this time as well, AF showed today (a day early). I'm coping surprisingly well due to having given up on this cycle when it was converted to IUI and also being completely distracted by other aspects of life. I'm hoping to at least stick with IVF next time and make it to EPU (I want DHEA to be the miracle drug it's supposed to be). Anyway hope this thread gets some good news for someone sometime soon - we definitely need a sprinkle of .

    Hi hoping and ttc

so sorry you got a bfn, it's so unfair. Big hugs. I hope you get a big hug from dh and your kids to help you get through this.

AFM, I am still jabbing and have another scan on Monday, hopefully they get more follicles.

Good luck luckyme1 on your scan, hope there are lots of follicles with eggs in them. I agree with you Hopingformore, we definitely need some good news soon. Feeling a bit down today, I think it is PMS, well I know it is and AF started a day early for me too. I also have my Mum telling me to accept that I may never have another one.

    Default Hi

    Hi

TTC so sorry you're having a difficult time and your mum isn't being supportive of Ivf. My mum is a bit like that. I think they're worried we'll get too hurt by keeping going with Ivf, and think if one cycle doesn't work then it's pointless. They just don't understand as they got pregnant easily in their day and Ivf didn't exist. Well know it does and lots of people get preggers using it.

Well we're going to try with our doctors support and then move on when we decide it's time to stop. I wish they would support that.

My scan went well, 9 follies, not all big but they will keep growing them until Wednesday when I will have another scan and then trigger, so happy!

    Hi Ladies,

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I have been reading along.

My journey is now sadly over. I POAS this morning and it was BFN. I am 9dp5dt or 13dpo so not too soon to test. I am devastated. I can't stop crying and really don't know how to pick myself up off the floor from this. We can't do another cycle, we just can't afford it so I have to accept that DS will be an only child. I have been thinking about him as a baby all day, and it's only making it harder knowing what I won't ever have again.

I wish you all every success and hope that you all get your BFP's.

Luckyme1- that is great, hopefully this will be your cycle.
I think you're right about my Mum, she has seen all the heartache this has caused so she just wants to prepare me for it.
Littlefeet- your thread has made me cry. I hope with all my heart that you fall pregnant naturally. If your IVF clinic offers counseling, you may want to consider using it. I am thinking about doing that for myself & DH. Please keep in touch with us.
AFM, We are considering doing an IUI this month, although a small chance I don't think we have had much success with IVF

Little Feet - I feel your pain. I'm so sorry this cycle hasn't worked out for you. I think we can all understand how hard it is when you know you must be grateful for what you have but you so desperately want another child. I so hope you can get a natural BFP. I know you said you cannot afford more IVF cycles but have you considered staying on DHEA, I've read about women with low AMH getting natural BFPs while on DHEA without IVF (I know it's a long shot but it may be worth considering). Personally, I feel really ripped off that I spent so many years of my life on the pill and perhaps wasted any shot I had at natural conception. I tell every woman I know to get their AMH tested, I don't want anyone else to have to suffer because their fertility is gone before their time. Thinking of you .

Luckyme1 - great news on follie numbers - I assume EPU will be on Friday? Good luck for Wed, hope the follies grow nicely. We really need some good news on this thread, hoping it's your time .

TTCno2 - yeah my mum hasn't been great either. We had a major falling out over the whole IVF process and have only recently mended fences. She's trying to be more supportive now and has borrowed a book from the libray to try to understand more about infertility but she's definitely not my go to person for talking about this stuff. Hope your mum figures out a better way to be supportive.

Good luck with the IUI if you go ahead with it. I'm sad we didn't get the result we wanted but at least we gave IUI a try (probably won't spend the money on it again, will just cancel if we have another no response IVF cycle and try naturally during off months).

AFM - not much happening here, just twiddling my thumbs until FS appointment on 17 Oct, hoping she says all good to try again as soon as AF starts again. Have a few questions for her re my cycle and want to know if there is any way to avoid starting a cycle if I'm going to have no response or if we will only know after a week of drugs.

Hopingformore hope all is ok for you to start again with next round. I think I knew this time that it will be a better round this last time because I had many more eggs after I started Synarel at first ultrasound appointment (day 4) because there were many more eggs, even before I started on my FSH injections- although I know it was still a negative but I did have 3xthe eggs compared to first EPU! So maybe ask if that can be the point where they can say go ahead or cancel.
Hopingformore & lucyme1and anyone else, can you ask your specialists next time you see them about oestrogen priming before starting cycle and whether it is suitable for people like us ( low AMH etc) and their thoughts on low stimulation protocols? I will ask mine this time although I know he was not keen on low dose last time. There are some recent clinical trials to show that low dose may be better, less eggs but maybe better quality. It will be interesting to see what different specialists do
