Default Re: Poor Responders Using Luveris, DHEA etc #11

    Hi,

I did get a BFP but developed a large subchorionic bleed at 5 weeks. I almost lost the pregnancy 2 nights ago but this bub is a little fighter and is holding on. I'm on complete bedrest until at least early December. It's been unbelievabe in terms of emotions but I'm getting there. I was 7 weeks on Friday. I'm by no means out of the woods and Warren has given it a.30% chance, and to be honest, I'm not feeling great about this pregnancy, but am trying to remain positive as we've wanted it for so long and when it comes.down to it, it's our bubby.

I used Luveris, had been on DHEA for 4 months, and saizen this cycle. I got 19 eggs, 13 mature, 11 fertilised. Of those, we had 2 blasties transferred and 3 were frozen. By far our best yet.

Sent from my HTC One X using BubHub so apologies for any spelling mistakes.

Hi KandP, Congratulations first of all. I really hope that this embryo sticks and becomes a baby in your arms. But the good thing is that you did get pregnant and at least you can achieve this. I had some major bleeding with my DD in the first trimester up to 20 weeks , eventhough I was not on Clexane. Although it may be just the clexane causing your bleed. They say it is better if you don't bleed but if the foetus survives they have just as good a chance as any other child. I did get bleeding with 3 of my miscarriages but I never had a heart beat with those 3 so that is a good sign that you have a heart beat. I have my fingers crossed very tightly for you.
Thank you for letting us know about Saizen (growth hormone), I am going to be using the same thing with Luveris, DHEA + Progynova tablets as well as the usual injections. I was worried about Saizen and the risk of cancer but I think for such a short course it should not be an issue.

Thank you for asking hon.. I just had my 8 week scan with warren, and bub is wonderful... Hb 140bpm, good growth. The clot is large (3.6 x 2.7cm) so I'm on 4 more weeks of bed rest but he's now given this pregnancy a 70% chance... Much better! So relieved!

As for the scraping, I had it done in september with a lipoidal flush. That's when my asherman's was diagnosed. I went straight into my next cycle and got my BFP. all the best for your procedure, you'll be fine xx

It was the last time we see him and he's handed me over to my OB now. I also got a Wazza's Buddy baby tee awwwwww. I was so teary. Xoxox

How fantastic KandP you must have been so relieved. Keep us up to date on your progress. Are you getting any morning sickness because that is always a good sign? Although there are many people who've never had morning sickness and have a very successful pregnancies. Wishing you a beautiful and healthy bub.

Thanks love No morning sickness, it starts at around 2pm and goes through to the evening... It's not horrific, but i do need to keep food in my stomach - such as plain rice cakes. I'm more craving things like peaches, mango and watermelon at the moment. I will definitely keep you posted - i'm on 4 more weeks bedrest, i have loads of time for updates

PS: One strange thing is that i CRAVE greasy food in the evenings...i'm trying to not give in, bu if i do, i'm only having a little bit lol.

Default Poor Responders Using Luveris, DHEA etc #11

Well we saw my doctor on Thursday and apparently I'm a difficult case.

It seems I stimulate well but when it comes to egg pick up they're not getting the number of eggs that are visible as follicles on the last scan.

At first the doctor thought it was that my egg's weren't mature enough to pick up so they tried a double trigger the second time but she thinks perhaps that the second time I may have ovulated so this time she's going to try and reduce the time after trigger but keep the double trigger.

She also suggested that we should start advertising for an egg donor as it can take a while to find one. We can do a couple more cycles while we look.

So we have posted our ad, check it out, but oh I hope the next cycle works.

    Hi ladies,

Sorry I've been MIA - DS was sick last week and life was just a bit too much to handle.

KandP - congratulations on your BFP hope things calm down soon and you can spend some time enjoying your pregnancy!

TTCno2 - don't know about the uterus scratching - hope it works though!

Luckyme1 - good you've still got options, I'm also on double trigger at 36hrs before pick-up (previously I had similar problems always having hormone levels and follicle numbers that indicated more eggs than were retrieved, unfortunately the changes didn't help me - hope they are the answer for you - although obviously I still got one good egg in all the crap numbers). Hope the donor ad works!

AFM - well it's another crap cycle, my estrogen levels were really low (just marginally higher than last time) so we were given the option to cancel and try again next month. I wanted to cancel but my husband feels strongly that we don't have time to waste so we should just go for it regardless. So even though we are only looking at one or two eggs (at best) we are continuing with the cycle. I can't believe it has come to this but am holding out hope that the quality will make up for the crap quantity (although nothing in my history would suggest this to be the case). So barring any major hormonal issues from today's blood test I'll be going to theatre on Friday. Just hoping I don't wake up to the dreaded ZERO.

Also decided to continue with this cycle as if AF was a little late next time round we might miss the cycle start cut-off with my clinic due to their Xmas holidays, and then get AF again before they reopen in Jan so worst case wouldn't be able to cycle until Feb. I'd rather take my slim chances now as trying naturally has never done anything for us.

    Hi ladies,
Nice to hear from you all again.
KandP- hope all is still going well and baby is holding on tight.

Luckyme1 & Hopingformore - I hope these upcoming cycles are lucky and the changes to your double triggers work. I read your add luckyme1 it was really nice and well written. If you need to go down this path and you don't find an egg donor there are IVF clinics that have egg donors, but you probably know that already.

AFM- I am going full throttle with this upcoming cycle, doing everything, done the scratching and lipoidal flush under general anaesthetic taking all the herbal meds and lucrin+ aspirin, prednisone and once my AF starts will add growth hormone, Puregon and mid cycle luveris and orglautran. The only thing i am not doing is clexane (too scared of serious bleeding). So if this works than you guys can take note and tell your specialists as KandP had a positive outcome with the growth hormone. Have any of you read the latest on 'Bondi protocol IVF' google it , what amazing results. Although this protocol recommends clexane!
