crofty - oh ok i had never heard her name mentioned except on here. I have 17 Day 1 embies frozen and so far have not had any discussion with anyone from WFC about the thaw plan at all. i know they want me to sign some docs when i go down there on monday for my blood test but they havent mentioned anything to me about speaking to anyone from the science dept and i am pretty keen to talk to someone about the thaw plan for me as since i have 17 embies and PCOS i would like to thaw more then the most liberal plan which is 4 at a time. I want to ask them to thaw 6 and have no idea who i should speak to about it and what they are likely to say. My reason for 6 is that i have PCOS and therefore they have no idea on the quality of our embryos so i think it is kinda unfair if they just go off everyone else's stats which is where is they say 25-30% of embies make it to blast hence why they only want to thaw 4 (statistically with 4 there should be one left at blast stage to transfer). but then if my embies arent good quality from the pcos i could very well end up with no embies to transfer and since i have 17 frozen i dont want that to happen on my first go on FET esp cause i missed out on having a transfer with my initial IVF cycle due to OHSS risk so this is my first real shot at getting pregnant and i just want to pump my odds up a bit. what do you think? is it my decision or are they going to boss me into only thawing 4 at a time because thats their policy?
