Hi girls, thanks for all your advice and asking about EPU.
Went ahead yesterday, Im so glad we did it early... got a much better result than expected - 11 eggs, 7 mature, 7 ICSI'd, and 5 fertilised over night!!

My god I was over the moon to get that text this morning... dont think anything has ever made me happier, of course except having my son!!!

Going for a 5 day transfer on Tuesday!! I think this 5 days waiting is going to be as hard as the TWW...

Can anyone tell me, how often will I get updates on my embies?? I think from memory they dont pull them out on day 4??

How has everyone else been? any exciting news for anyone else??

Im feeling so happy, but trying not to get my hopes up too high!!!

Mrsjag – wow, 9 weeks already, almost 10, fantastic Best wishes with your OB appointment next week. I love April, me, DH and DS are all April babies so it’s a great month to me.

Lilly – so great you have started your next cycle and you’re jabbing away, looking forward to hear some great news

Andrea – I’m in limbo land at the moment . I’m just taking my supplements in the meantime. I’ll see my FS and my immune specialist soon, so hopefully together they can help me get a BFP . I’d love to do another cycle in Nov/Dec, but just not sure yet. How’s the jabbing going for you? Good luck with the BT tomorrow and US next week. Is EPU still next week too?

Rosewhite – so glad to hear you’re PUPO, hope you’re doing well . Are you testing tomorrow?

Lynlee – yay, fantastic news on your 5 embryo’s, what a relief for you, no wonder you’re over the moon . Best wishes for ET on Tuesday. I think they send an SMS every 2nd day to update you on your embies and possibly a phone call to confirm all is going well. So excited for you

    Hello to everyone else

AFM – hate just sitting around waiting to cycle again . I’ll see my FS in a few weeks with results from my surgery. I really hope I can cycle again before the end of the year, I feel like I’m wasting my time doing nothing, worried my eggs will either run out and just be worse quality

    Hi all,

lynlee - 5 embies. that is fantastic news! It sound like Dr Fong made the right call. Well done.

Today is Day 7 of my stims and feeling good so far. No bloating yet just an awareness of my ovaries but nothing to complain about. So I went down yesterday to get my blood test done and was told by the nurse she would call me that day to advise me what dosage to do last night. Well no phone call at all yesterday so I just assumed it was all OK and took the same dosage last night. I rang at 5.00pm yesterday and left a message and have not heard from anyone today either. Its a bit disappointing really especially considering I am at high risk of overstimulating and no-one is contacting me to let me know what is going on? I really hope I at least get a phone call from someone today although when i was there for my bood test yesterday morning they couldnt find my file anywhere so i am hoping they sorted it out yesterday and whoever is working today can find my information?
Also, I am a little concerned cause i have been injecting 100 puregon each night for 6 nights and the dosage bottle was 600 but when i took it out last night there was still quite a bit of fluid in it and now I am concerned what that means? 6 x 100 means it should be completely empty right??? Anyone else have this happen??

Hi Andrea, sorry to hear your bad experiences.... Hopefully they pick up their game soon for you.... With the puregon it's normal to have a little left in the bottle... On my ivf cycle I was on 200 iu and when I get to the end of one I panicked thinking the same... I called the nurses and they said its fine... There is actually a little more than 600 in it... So they told me anyway...

I have a question.... With the day 3 update on embryos, has anyone ever been told how many embryos they have left or is a message like 'your embryos are growing well and are on track' pretty standard regardless of whether some have arrested or not? I'm happy to hear they are going well, but I'm cracking my neck to know if that means all 5 or not? Thought maybe if I only had a couple left they might write something like 3 of your 5 embryos are on track??? What have everyone elses messages been?

This 5 days wait its so had! Not sure how I'm going to cope with the TWW!!,

My message didn't tell me how many of our 3 survived.

I was a nervous wreck waiting for transfer, to see how many we had. We transferred the 1, of course, and had 2 frosties. 3/3!

I'm praying you get some frosties too!!!

Wow....I havn't been on & so much has been happening..... I usually get on my phone but it hasn't been able to connect for a while.

MrsJag- so happy that you & your jellybean are getting to know each other really well. Best wishes for you OB appt.
Lynlee- OMG congratulations on your 5 embies. Praying for a very sticky ET tomorrow.

Rosewhite- congratulations on PUPO-did you test (or did I mix up my days?).

Andrea- are you an expert with the the jabbing now? Hope all is well & all those eggs are growing well.

Jem- oh I'm so dissappointed for you. Losing weight when you are under pressure is the hardest thing to do. I ate red frogs & had a couple of champagnes on the weekend & boom there are an extra 2kgs on the scales. If I dont train & eat like a bird then I put on weight.....I think it may be my thyroid but I will find that out in my next tests. Please dont give up.....thinking that you are strong & can do it does help. angels are heading your way.

Ace Of Base- hoping you are feeling a little better. Good luck with the Reproductive Immunologist...hope that you get the answers there.

Kylee- thinking of you....how are things. Did AF arrive on time?

Lillystar- just reading that your were due for AF......have you started your meds yet? Good luck & for you......

ATM- I'm just plodding around...a bit flat at the moment. Just taking my supplements & trying to relax (my job is very stressful & causing me to be very down, very emotional & all over the place) .
DH is having his tests done again today to rule out any problems there. I have no real idea what to do with this long cycle. Do I ring WFC when my AF comes in October to start the pill & Lucrin? I think I will have to call Dr Fong to sort it out again in my head.
I have been reading my heart out....so the 50 Shades went quickly in Aug so I have also read Bared to you ( I have just ordered the next book Refelcted in you)

& Beautiful Disaster ( the sequel to this comes out in November) Its fun having more than once romance to keep up with....its keeping me busy I guess.
to everyone else...sorry if I missed you.
Big hugs to everyone & have a great day in this wonderful sunshine.

    hi everyone,

well went down for my ultrasound today and results are not great. I have 13 follicles over 15mm and 28 over 10mm so obivously at very high risk of OHSS. they have decided to cancel trigger with hcg and i now have to trigger tomorrow night with lucrin which means that i have to have a freeze all cycle with no fresh transfer this cycle. Pretty bummed about it all. You should have seen the look on the nurses face when she saw all those follicles. They had to call Dr Smith and he was the one that made the decision to change the trigger but to me the negative part is that not one of them were over 18mm this morning yet I am to trigger tomorrow night due to the super high e2 levels i have from all the smaller follies that wont be mature by pickup so i am looking at going through all this for what they think will be about 9-13 follies that "might be at maturity" and pcos eggs have much lower fertilisation rate then normal so dont even know what to expect after fertilisation and then have to wait 2 months before i can even do fet. Apparently with hcg trigger the follies keep growing until pickup so if i had done hcg trigger many more would be mature but the lucrin trigger stops the follicle growth so they only have till tomorrow night to reach maurity yet today none of them were even above 18mm???

Am sitting at work now feeling pretty down. They took another blood test this morning and said they would call me if they think they could push egg retreival out to friday morning which would give the smaller ones more time to grow but only if my e2 levels were lower then what they expected them to be. If i dont hear from them today i go ahead with lucrin trigger tuesday night and egg pickup thursday. She said my ovaries were so enlarged they were pretty much touching each other yet i am not even that bloated (was more bloated while on femara) and I am in no pain at all just "aware" of my ovaries when walking.

Oh bugger Andrea, that would be upsetting, but even though you have to wait for a fet, at least it hasn't been worth nothing... This ivf business demands a lot of patience right! A girl at my egg pick up had 45 eggs retrieved!!!

Hi share in, glad to hear those books are keeping you company... Can you ask dr fong to do an antagonist cycle? Much quicker? That's what I've just done...

Arghhh ET tomorrow! I'm so excited and nervous....must cant wait to hear how many of my embies have survived
